My surgery this morning was a complete success. I didn't sleep at all last night due to anxiety so my blood pressure was through the roof when I arrived but leveled out once I was unconscious. Dr. Gardere said the damage was much worse than he ever dreamed so it took double the amount of time--3 hours to be exact. He said he was able to fix everything properly, though, so that's good.
I was home by about 11:30am and have spent the remainder of the day sleeping on and off. My nose didn't need to be broken so I don't have an exterior splint and the interior ones will come out Tuesday morning.
